LIFT APP CAPABILITIES Public feature inventory checked: 2026-08-30 SCOPE Lift is a workout, strength-progress, bodyweight, and nutrition tracker available on Android and iPhone. This document describes customer-facing capabilities in the current public product. Most capabilities are shared across Android and iOS unless a platform is named explicitly. Some capabilities require a Lift account, an internet connection, device permission, or a Premium subscription. Premium is part of the public product, so Premium features are included below and labeled separately. Exact free limits, subscription prices, trials, and catalog contents can vary by platform, region, and release. ACCOUNT AND ONBOARDING - Create an account with email, username, and password, including email verification. - Sign in with email/password or Google and request a password-reset email. - Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the app. - Personalize onboarding with profile, unit, bodyweight, training, nutrition-goal, reminder, and platform-health preferences. - Sign out, permanently delete the account through email-code confirmation, and restore a Premium purchase. - Invite friends with referral links and earn the advertised referral reward after the qualifying activity is completed. HOME AND SCHEDULING - See today's scheduled workout, active training split, exercise goals, daily calorie progress, and newly available progress reviews in one dashboard. - Browse a workout calendar containing scheduled and completed training days. - Open a day to inspect its planned workout or completed workout history. - Start or end an active split and use its day-of-week schedule. - Open weekly and monthly reviews covering workout consistency, exercises and muscle groups trained, equipment usage, achieved goals, personal records, and calorie data. WORKOUT LIBRARY AND PROGRAMMING - Browse, search, and filter exercises, workouts, and training splits/programs. - Filter public content by creator, equipment, workout type, difficulty, muscles trained, and workouts per week where applicable. - Use Lift-created exercises, workouts, and programs or create personal ones. - Create and edit exercises with name, description, instructions, primary and secondary muscle groups, equipment, rep- or time-based tracking, and optional video. - Create and edit workouts by adding, removing, duplicating, switching, and reordering exercises and configuring their sets, rep or time targets, weight, RPE, rest time, and instructions. - Create and edit splits, arrange workouts across days of the week, add rest days, reorder or move workouts, and choose an active split. - Configure auto-progression per exercise. - Select from pre-built periodization schemas or create and save custom multi-week schemas, including planned sets, reps, intensity, and the current training week. Periodization is a free feature. - Estimate a starting one-rep max from a challenging set and use it for progression. - Generate a personalized split from training experience, available equipment, preferred muscle groups, goals, and free-text preferences. - View public program details such as required equipment, focus, difficulty, days per week, duration, active users, muscle coverage, creator, and ratings. - Import public splits and workouts into a personal library, optionally making an imported split active immediately. - Publish eligible splits/programs with an image, description, difficulty, focus, instructions, and localized user-generated content. - Read, write, and delete program reviews with overall, strength-gain, and muscle-gain ratings. ACTIVE WORKOUT TRACKING - Start a scheduled or saved workout, or start a quick workout and choose exercises as you go. - Track weight, reps, timed sets, completed sets, RPE, and workout notes. - See previous performance and current targets while logging each exercise. - Add and delete sets, change weight increments, switch exercises, and reorder active exercises without leaving the workout. - See a live elapsed-workout timer and change the workout date or recorded duration. - Use automatic progression recommendations based on prior performance, target rep ranges, and an optional pre-workout energy check. - Start automatic or manual rest timers, adjust their duration, pause/resume them, and receive an alert when the next set is due. - Insert calculated warm-up sets from built-in rules or reusable custom warm-up plans. - Calculate which plates to load for a target barbell weight using selected bar and available plates. - Finish or abort a workout; incomplete/empty sets are validated or removed as appropriate, and completed workout data is saved to history. - Receive optional reminders for today's scheduled workout, an inactive unfinished workout, and bodyweight logging after a workout. TRAINING HISTORY, GOALS, AND ANALYTICS - Browse all completed workouts and open a detailed workout history. - Edit the date, duration, note, exercises, sets, reps, time, weight, and RPE of a past workout, or delete the history entry. - View recent workout-history trends per exercise when enabled. - Open an exercise's details, instructions, demonstration video, muscle groups, and equipment information. - Review exercise history over time and inspect every completed set. - View progress charts for estimated 1RM, maximum weight, maximum reps or duration, total volume, best timed-set volume, and rep-range distribution as applicable. - Change chart ranges between the last month, last three months, last year, and all available history. - See personal records for weight, estimated 1RM, reps, time, and volume. - Set exercise targets for reps, weight/strength, volume, time, or estimated 1RM; view current and achieved goals and receive goal-achievement feedback. - Record bodyweight, browse bodyweight history and progress charts, delete entries, and set a gain, loss, or maintenance target. NUTRITION TRACKING - Track nutrition by date and by breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. - See calories eaten, remaining, or over target plus carbohydrates, protein, fat, and detailed nutrients such as fiber, sugar, fat types, cholesterol, and sodium. - See meal-type summaries for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. - Search a public database advertised as containing more than three million foods. - Search recent foods, favorite foods, personal foods, and reusable meals. - Scan a product barcode to find a food and inspect serving sizes and nutrition facts. - Add food by grams, ounces, product amount, or serving amount and move tracked food to another meal type or date. - Use a quick calorie/macronutrient entry when a full food record is unnecessary. - Create, edit, favorite, and delete custom foods with serving and nutrient data. - Photograph a nutrition label to prefill calories, macronutrients, serving size, and other supported nutrition fields while creating a food. - Save tracked foods as a reusable meal; create, edit, duplicate/reuse, and delete meals, including an optional image and public/private visibility. - Reuse previously tracked breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks. - Set calories and macro percentages manually or calculate a target from age, height, activity level, bodyweight, and a gain/loss/maintenance goal. - Automatically adjust the calorie target from the bodyweight goal, recent weigh-ins, and tracked calorie trend when the setting is enabled. - Track a streak for consistently reaching the daily calorie goal. - Photograph a meal for an AI estimate of its foods, portions, calories, and macros; review and edit the result or refine it with text before logging it. RECIPES - Discover free and Premium fitness-oriented recipes and browse recent and favorite recipe collections. - Search and filter recipes by meal time, diet/lifestyle, dish type, cooking method, calorie range, and a natural-language description of what the user wants. - View recipe photos, author, description, servings, nutrition, cooking time, categories, ingredients, and step-by-step instructions. - Favorite/unfavorite recipes and log a recipe into nutrition tracking with an adjusted serving count. - Translate supported recipe instructions and switch back to the original text. - Use Cook Mode with step navigation, per-step ingredients, and multiple cooking timers/alarms. - On iOS, add selected recipe ingredients to a new or existing Apple Reminders grocery list. PROFILE, FRIENDS, AND SHARING - View and edit username, full name, biography, and profile picture. - See profile statistics such as total lifted weight, goals achieved, workout duration, bodyweight progress, and calorie history. - Search for users by username and open public profiles. - Send, accept, reject, and cancel friend requests; view incoming/outgoing requests and friend lists; remove friends; and block or unblock users. - Share a profile through a public deep link. - Depending on the owner's privacy settings, view a public profile's stats, splits, workouts, completed workout history, goals, favorite recipes, friends, and current in-workout status. - Open shared splits, workouts, exercise details, workout histories, and recipes from public profiles or deep links. - Choose who can discover the profile and who can see splits/workouts, favorite recipes, completed workouts, exercise goals, bodyweight goal, calorie goal, and current workout status. Available audiences include nobody, friends, friends-of-friends, or everyone depending on the data type. SETTINGS, LOCALIZATION, AND DATA - Select kilograms or pounds and configure default workout values. - Choose system, light, or dark appearance; Android also supports Material dynamic colors where available. - Use the app in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, or Hindi. - Optionally use English names for exercises, workouts, and splits. - Automatically translate supported user-generated content with the device's on-device translation service when its language model is available. - Configure home review prompts, workout auto-scroll, rest-timer behavior, progression, deload/chart display, history trends, bodyweight reminders, and workout reminders. - Manually synchronize account data and see when synchronization last completed. - Export personal app data. - Submit a bug report with a description and screenshots from inside the app. - View release notes, app version, legal policies, contact details, and third-party software acknowledgements. IOS-SPECIFIC INTEGRATIONS - Connect Apple Health to synchronize bodyweight data and show daily step data. - Use Home Screen quick actions to start a quick workout, log bodyweight, or track food when those actions are enabled and applicable. - Use iOS notifications/Live Activities and supported system alarms for workout rest timers and recipe cooking timers. - Add recipe ingredients to Apple Reminders as a grocery list. - Use the iOS 26 Liquid Glass presentation on supported devices. PREMIUM CAPABILITIES The public app is free to download and includes ads and in-app purchases. Depending on the current free allowance, catalog item, and promotion, Premium unlocks or expands: - An ad-free experience. - Smart auto-progression and energy-based workout recommendations. - AI-generated personalized splits. - Access to Premium Lift-created splits/workouts and higher or unlimited creation limits for personal splits and workouts. - Full exercise and profile progress-chart access. - Weekly and monthly progress reviews. - More or unlimited exercise goals. - Warm-up sets and reusable custom warm-up plans. - The weight-plate calculator. - Creation of reusable custom meals. - AI meal-photo calorie estimation. - The full Premium recipe catalog.
